  Steve and his team were once again competent and professional, moving my partner’s house contents from Dorset to East Devon, then collecting my things all completed in one day. This is not the first time I have used Smooth Move, and I’ve always found them to go above and beyond to make moving as stress free as they can. I highly recommend this business.

  Just used this business to move us into Sidmouth from the first point of contact the service was first class.
  Kept in touch throughout no broken promises, messaged to say they were on the way, delivery of boxes for packing well in advance of the actual move.
  On the actual moving date arrived on time all three men very pleasant polite respected our property throughout, quick efficient likewise at the new property nothing to much trouble went above and beyond
  Would have no hesitation in recommending this professional company

  I needed to move three hours away with one/ two weeks notice. My mother had used his services in 2018 and highly recommended him. Steve came out to do a quote very quickly and gave me a great date. Originally the date given was a bit too late for me so he moved his schedule around so he could do it sooner. Steve is a really friendly and reassuring guy!   Could not have been better.Came round to check what needed moving about a week before the moving date. Estimate of work was extremely accurate to the actual moving day. On the day, they were hard working and efficient.   Had only moved 2 months prior to this move and once again Steve and his crew accommodated us without hesitation. They hay had a challenging move dye to vans not being able to get close to the property due to not being able to go under the archway. But fair play there were no complaints and they “carried on regardless”.Nothing was too much trouble. Hard working and all got stuck in.   Steve moved us five years ago and we were delighted he could move us again last week. He is incredibly professional, knowledgeable and calm. He really organised everything so well, keeping everything safe and protected. He even put our clothes into wardrobe boxes so that we didn’t have to pack them. Steve kept in touch with a message the day before moving, confirming his time of arrival. He along with his colleague Matty cracked on with the job, loading the van quickly but with consideration for the safety of every item.   The price was good for our move and the guys worked well on the day, however we had a longer than expected delay for the move so we had to get a lot of boxes moved ourselves prior to the move day. The main disappointment was that a whole range of wardrobes was missed on the day which meant I had to move the lot in my car afterwards, by lifting them up and down stairs!Quite a difficult move in the end.

I had been told by two other removal companies that access was too difficult but not for Smooth Move!They lugged two removal lorries worth of furniture down a 100m path and steep steps.   Steve and his guys don’t hang about ! They arrived at 9am sharp, had the first bedroom cleared within 5 minutes, then had the rest of the house done within 40 minutes. They were happy, polite, and nothing was too much trouble. I felt sorry for them at the other end as there was 2 flights of stairs to carry everything up. But boy they made it – no sweat.   I cannot praise these guys enough, I have used them locally when I moved in East Devon and longer distance, most recently they travelled up from Axminster to Norwich to move me to Somerset . They are above all professionals, very polite, VERY reasonable rates it’s cheaper for me to get them to Norfolk back to Somerset than getting local removals !! They have never been beaten on quotes.   These guys are the best! I have used them several times, when I lived in Honiton, then Somerset and now Norwich! Today they left Devon stopped in Somerset to pick up my belongings from a storage facility and arrived in Norwich at 2.30 pm.They unloaded & got back in the road for a 6 hour drive home !I cannot speak highly enough of steve & Wayne, they are friendly, polite, hard working and very professional plus provide a very reasonable rates for their service .

  These lads worked their socks off. Polite, helpful and careful. They went beyond the call of duty as after packing up our house we didnt get the keys for the new one until 4.15- they happily stayed and unpacked three trucks until they finished well after 8pm.   Steve and Wayne moved us on Wednesday it was pouring with rain and yet neither property had any signs of a wet day. Carpets and our possessions were all protected. They arrived promptly and packed us up and were out with loads of time to spare. Inevitable delays in getting our keys but they were under starters orders and as soom as the doors were open everything was unloaded quickly but with care. Efficient and polite and reasonable prices would not hesitate to recommend these lads.
