  Prompt, polite and professional, SJM Tree Services were excellent at communicating with us every step of the process. They made the felling of large trees in our back yard straightforward and stress free. Planning permission, some delicate work around wires and gas supply, and then leaving the wood in manageable logs for us, all done without fuss. I would recommend them to anyone in our neighbourhood /area without hesitation. At a reasonable cost too!

  I can’t recommend highly enough SJM Trees Services, Sam and his colleague were out within the hour following a large tree falling in the storms very efficient and left a tidy area afterwards. He has done work on a couple of trees before and is very knowledgeable, helpful and efficient.

  Sam came across as a really decent person when he came to quote for the work. Friendly and polite. Sam came today and removed 4 conifers, a small conifer hedge, small apple tree, some stumps and a large Rowan. It rained all throughout the work, but this didn’t stop him and his colleague He turned up on time, worked methodically, cleared up and left a log pile for the wildlife as discussed. We are really pleased with his work. He is a knowledgeable tree person, who understood what we wanted. We would recommend Sam and SJM Tress Services.

  I cannot fault the work undertaken. I was always consulted on decisions to be made and how I wanted the site to be left. All rubbish was cleared away and as an added bonus they even shredded all my garden waste. Excellent service and worth every penny.

  Sam and his men completed the works to my total satisfaction. They were most careful with the garden and cleared all the rubbish away before leaving. They cut all the timber into manageable lengths as requested and left neatly stacked . I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone and they would be my choice if further work developed

  We cannot recommend SJM Tree Services highly enough. From first contact to payment of invoice, the communication and professionalism I received was excellent. Sam took care to understand my requirements and gave me the benefit of his experience to recommend a course of action. The team turned up on time and worked quickly and efficiently and left our premises in a clean and tidy condition. They have subsequently picked up another contract with my neighbour who saw them working on my property and want similar work done on theirs. I also found SJM to be excellent value for money.

  Excellent service. Highly professional and hardworking. Sam is friendly, polite and helpful. He and his colleague worked solidly over three days to fell and log several mature trees including a large ash, as well as clear limbs that were interfering with our telephone line. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

  SJM has done a brilliant job at cutting down hugely an overgrown hedge, shredding on site, and clearing up after themselves. They also pruned a Eucalyptus tree and a Prunus, and obviously know what they are doing. I would highly recommend using them.

  Sam and his team mate lived up to the many good reviews we had read. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. From initial site visit and quote for job and window of opportunity for getting the work done. Pruning our Silver Birch, removal of a protuding fir tree stump plus a snip or two of our Amalanchier and their mission was accomplished. On an otherwise wet day the sun shone from the time they arrived.

  Fantastic service, would highly recommend. From the initial call to the work being completed Sam was professional and efficient. We had 2 silver birches pruned – extremely pleased with the end result, our trees are the best shape they’ve ever been. SJM carried out the work in awful weather conditions but still managed to clear up and remove all clippings. Excellent value for money.

  Sam and his team trimmed hedges and pruned two fruit trees for me. The work was carried out at a very reasonable cost – efficiently, quietly and all within one day. I hardly knew they were there. Very pleased with the end result and have arranged for them to come back next year. Highly recommend them.

  Sam and his colleague did a fantastic job pruning our overgrown yew and cherry trees and tidying up the hedges in our garden. Sam was extremely polite and professional, and excellent value for money. The garden was left very tidy and the trees and hedges look great!   Sam did a fantastic job yesterday pollarding a large willow and reducing our acer. The work was carried out efficiently and he was careful of the surrounding planting.Communication before and during the work was excellent and everything was left clean and tidy.   We have used a number of tree surgeons in the past and we found Sam and his team to be very professional and hard working. They took down some trees for us in our garden and woodland and ground out a stump. They made a good job of it and cleared up well afterwards. Will certainly use them again.

  Sam was contacted on my behalf in relation to the rescue of my cat who had managed to get stuck 40/45ft up a fir tree. He made his way over to us after a day at work.   We engaged Sam to clear and open up a small wood that I own and which had been neglected for quite some years.He provided a quote and an inspection without charge and we agreed to a date for the work to start. It started as planned, taking three days during which time he opened up the wood, made fabulous planks which we are no going to use for raised beds and pruned and shredded the overgrown bushes which will mulch down well.
