  We are really pleased with Richard and Paul’s work in transforming our ‘patch of sloping grass’ into an ideal flat patio that well meets our need for an area to sit 6 to 8 people comfortably around our large wooden table. We weren’t completely sure of the best way to arrange it all but Richard and Paul have done so in just the right design and with ideal tiles. They were so pleasant and helpful all through and worked really hard even during the very hot weather. We are very happy to recommend them to others.

  Rich & Paul built an extension and patio for us last year, with this in mind we had no hesitation in getting them in again. This was a second patio area where previously had been an old garage. The level of work, knowledge, time taken and value were once again exemplary. We can not recommend them highly enough.

  Richard & Paul are true professionals. They are polite, friendly and so clean & tidy. They were great at prompt communication, and Paul dealt with the building control side of the work. They kept to budget and did a wonderful job. They recommended a carpenter, plumber, plasterer, and electrician, who also did a really good job for us. We would thoroughly recommend them to anyone.   Rich, Paul and their team built a large 6.5m x 4.5m extension on the back of our house.Right from the start when we asked for a quote they have been cheerful, helpful and very understanding. Although cost is an important factor, it was the sense of professionalism during all initial conversations that swayed us to opt for them.Throughout they have kept to a timeline (weather permitting) and always ensured that the budget was adhered to.   Richard and Paul built a rear extension across the back of our bungalow and a garage extension on the side for us . The whole process was seamless from start to finish ( weather permitting !) They came and priced the job for us and then stuck to budget throughout . Any problems or changes that occurred along the way , were dealt with quickly and professionally , with them explaining all our options and costings along the way . Pauls project management skills were excellent , organising all the other tradesman visits as and when needed . Richard’s brickwork was amazing , even raking out the mortar of the new extension to match the old part of the property, real craftsmanship. Communication was great with Paul always quick to return calls and even calling us whilst he was on holiday to check all was going to plan on site . We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone , and would certainly use them ourselves in future .

  We have seldom had the pleasure of working with more polite, professional and diligent builders. We needed a patio laying at short notice due to sudden mobility issues with our young daughter, and we could not be happier with the work Richard and Paul have done. From their prompt initial response, communication was excellent throughout the build. The quality of workmanship is just superb – including disguising perfectly an awkward manhole cover. We had torrential rain soon after the patio was laid and it drains perfectly. Our neighbours commented on how immaculate their vans were. They also established a great rapport with our young family, quickly putting them at ease (our girls can be nervous of new visitors).Richard and Paul are genuinely nice guys and have restored my faith in local tradespeople (we had some frustrating experiences with cowboys and I was really reluctant to get anyone in to do the work at all). When I paid an invoice for materials, even the suppliers we used spoke highly of them.We are delighted with the patio. Everyone who sees it asks who did the work. We do not hesitate in giving them our strongest recommendation and feel that we have found “our builders” for any future building work we might need….and when they discovered the patio was to help our daughter use the garden, they refused to charge us for their labour (!): that tells you everything you need to know about Richard and Paul.

  Paul and Rich have built our single story extension (including the installation of our kitchen and the fitting of doors and flooring in most of the house). We are extremely pleased with the works that they have delivered, more specifically:- the quality of their work is amazing and they sticked to the budget. they were monitoring it closely and did update us regularly;- they managed the project from A to Z very effectively, coordinating with the plumber, the electrician, the plasterer, which was very much appreciated;- they were proactive in flagging any unexpected issues, discussing efficient and practical solutions with… [read more]us (also giving accurate estimates on how much potential extras would cost so we could make the right decision);- Paul has always been available on the phone for any question.   Richard and Paul started work on our downstairs extension last Autumn. The build was complicated by us having no rear access to our property and a huge crane was required to lift all materials over our house in a very built up area. From start to finish Richard and Paul were the ultimate professionals. Every part of the build was relayed to us and all parts including dealing with building inspectors was taken care of by them. Unavoidable delays on windows was dealt with efficiently and the build re-commenced immediately after they arrived (only 2 week delay). Some negotiations… [read more]and conversations were had with our neighbours who were ‘quite tricky’. Rich and Paul were totally respectful and navigated a situation calmly which could have so easily turned contentious thus avoiding any upset with our neighbour. Richard is an excellent builder and both are the ultimate professionals in what they do. They are very respectful and trustworthy to have in your home – with them having to have daily access to my home whilst I was out working. The quote we received was very competitive and any increases in materials that occurred during the build was explained to us and receipts shown. As inevitably happens when undertaking a build unexpected challenges occurred these were dealt with in a calm and competent manner. We are completely delighted with the finished build and would 100% recommend Richard and Paul for any work you are considering.

  We recently had an extension/conversion done on our house by Richard & Paul. This involved taking down an old lean-to conservatory, building a new solid structure, knocking through an open arch from the new kitchen to dining room, and converting the old kitchen to a bathroom and office. I can’t recommend the work they have done highly enough. They worked quickly and at a fair price, and were able to guide us (novices) through the whole process.   Richard has built me a high garden wall at the bottom of my garden. His brickwork is superb and I am delighted with the result. He cleared away the roots from the replaced box hedge, cleaned up after himself each day and turned up every time he said he would. I recommend him to undertake any work. You will not be sorry.

  Richard was recommended by neighbours. We asked him for an estimate to build a retaining wall in our garden. He came when he said he would and offered expert advice on our needs.   it was a pleasure having Richard and Dean on site. They worked very hard through some hot weather to take down and rebuild a large 20 mtr long stone retaining wall. They worked in a difficult constricted space but managed to complete the job to a very high standard.   We used Richard for the foundations and construction of our double storey side extension and were very happy with his work ethic and the job itself.   Got Richard to remove 4 large wooden beams that had rotten away in between the brickwork structure of our house and replace them with concrete lintels and brick up the remaining parts.   We were having problems with excess water running onto the path at the rear entrance to our home but would we be able to find someone who would take on such a job, I’m pleased to say we found Richard who took up and relaid our existing brick pavers around a new Aco channel that he inserted to take away the water. Richard was thoroughly professional and friendly, did the job in a day and left the place neat and tidy, I would not hesitate to recommend him in the future.

  Excellent service recently delivered by Richard. Despite some appalling weather he completed the reconstruction of our drive and gate posts on time and to an excellent standard. He went above and beyond what I expected, sourcing material to match existing brickwork, and he he ensured that we were fully aware of progress or issues as they arose.   Richard widened our driveway and built a new retaining wall. We are very pleased with the result. Richard produced high quality workmanship, was not deterred by unexpected problems (a tree that proved to be extremely difficult to remove), worked in a neat and tidy way with a minimum of disruption and was unfailingly cheerful, even though the weather did its worst!   Richard built a wall in our garden with a post at either end. Beautiful stone work, so impressed with his workmanship, and he was so clean! In all this rain he covered my driveway so that it didn’t get dirty. He is exceptional – everything is perfect. We’ve recommended him to several friends off the back of his work with us. He is absolutely brilliant.
