I phoned Steve of SmartPVCu on Wednesday as I couldn’t close my bathroom window, having opened it further than usual (but not that far!) Steve popped in early on Thursday morning and said new hinges were needed. He had to order them and came back early Monday morning to fit them. I’m very grateful he responded promptly to a small but necessary job. He is very pleasant and I would definitely use SmartPVCu again.

SmartUPVc have recently replaced a window in my upvc conservatory and sorted out the double doors to the conservatory which were not closing properly and they did a really good job, came out and assessed the issues, gave me a very reasonable quote for the works and proceeded to make the repairs. I saw both Karl and Steve and so was able to assess the whole company! Old conservatory MPS roof removed and new put in place as roof after 30 yrs was leaking ~ job done within 2 days and minimum fuss and perfectly executed. Job done on time with dates agreed ~ will certainly use this company again ~ reccommend. Karl was efficient and reliable.

Following all the very positive reviews we contacted Karl to clad a Dorma and a Gable end and install insulation to both. In addition, we also needed the Dorma flat roof to be replaced and insulation fitted. We received very good advice from Karl, who made all the arrangements from scaffolding to roofing contractors. The team did an excellent job which had a few tricky elements to solve. The whole effect looks great and the insulation has made a big difference. As the thermal barrier of the house was being changed it needed the Council’s Building… [read more]Control Surveyor to sign-off on each stage of the work, we have just received the final completion certificate confirming all the work conforms to current building regulations. We would highly recommend SmartPVCu and are using them again for another job we have in the pipeline.

I have just had work done by SmartPVCu. The boys: Steve, Karl and their apprentice Nathan have been absolutely brilliant- I would recommend them to anyone! They were very clean, very hardworking, very friendly. Pleasingly they had no problem in solving how to fit fascias and guttering to some awkward detailing on the back of the house. We had a bay window very badly fitted by Everest which was not properly installed and leaked when it rained. They then went into administration, refused to honour any guarantees, leaving us totally in the lurch.We were recommended by friends to Smart PVCu and Wow! what a difference! Carl, Steve and their team tore the whole Everest abortion apart, rebuilt the bay window in half the time it took Everest and so reasonably priced.Very friendly, very efficient and …. we no longer have any leaks!!

We are delighted with the repairs carried out on our conservatory at Withycombe Raleigh Primary School. They have made this structure water tight after it has leaked for 10 years. They immediately identified the problem and then efficiently carried out the necessary repairs. Required 50 year old hanging tiles to be removed and disposed of with Composite PVC cladding to be supplied and fitted. The job required the old wooded batons and felt to be removed and also replaced.Steve arrived to quote when he said he would and supplied samples ( which is more than other suppliers did ). Smart PVCu replaced old render and wood on the front of our 1930’s house. We were very pleased with their work. Carl dropped round samples of PVC, so we could choose the colour for the cladding at the top and he was exactly right when he said the colour ‘sand’ would be the best match for our buttermilk painted house. They did a great job of replacing an old diamond shape window with a new PVC one but from the drive it still looks like the old one, which is what we wanted. Great service, price and quality.this is the third time we have used Steve and his team. They have replaced most of our windows, transformed our old porch with a new door and windows and they have now installed new soffits, eaves and guttering around the whole property, The external appearance of our home has been improved beyond our expectations. They were also very easy going and a pleasure to work with. They explained everything as the work progressed and made sure that we were involved in every decision. Highly recommended.

We found SmartPVCu in your booklet, following a pretty awful experience with a couple of guys (WHO HAD BEEN RECOMMENDED BY A CONSERVATORY INSTALLER!!!!), who had taken the “pretty bad situation” we had inherited with our conservatory when we bought our house, and, after a £1000+++ worth of “improvements” , including the fabrication of new galvanised iron box gutters…. had made the problem at least 10X worse!The irritating drips we had had before, became severe deluges in up to 5 places! In one day, following their “repairs”, we emptied 7 gallons of water from our buckets in 24 hours… [read more]during a storm. Steve & Carl of SmartPVCu came in and undid the damage (which included scrapping the said specially fabricated gutters!), solved 95% of the problems in the first few days…. and kept returning until they succeeded in making the place watertight. SmartPVCu stopped the leaks, left the place looking “As New”, and promised to return FOC if ever their work fails. You cannot ask for more than that.

I had Steve and Karl fit cladding over my two apex roofs, one of which was above the conservatory. The work was carried out as agreed and would seem to be well done, they also have lhopefully repaired a leaking gutter that was defying all before and they seem to know what they are doing. In all I have been very impressed with their manner and clearing up and would certainly recommend them.

From start to finish the customer service and work that we received was excellent. They kept me updated on progress and did the work starting on the date agreed, in the time estimated. The original quote was the final price paid. They caused minimal disruption to a busy family house and cleaned up after themselves. I had new windows put in most of the house and a new front door. Steve and his team were friendly and easy to have around. I would highly recommend them.

Smart PVCU are absolutely fantastic! They have made such a difference in the short time they were here. We used Smart PVCu for three replacement windows and a new glass roof to replace a PVC roof on our ten year old conservatory.Our conservatory which only took one day to complete now looks like new and the prices charged were excellent. We would recommend Steve and Karl to anyone.

We have had excellent service from this company. I contacted them to replace two windows. They came promptly, advised what was needed and sent a quotation promptly as they said they would. They were courteous and flexible as they had to work around the times we were available as we live in Bristol. They were efficient, skilful and cleaned up after themselves. I moved here from Wales, and wanted my soffits and gutters replacing. I saw their work on a neighbour’s house, and it looked good quality. Their pricing was competitive (compared to some of the people I spoke to whose prices were ridiculous), but most importantly they were really professional and the work is superb. They were also nice to have around the house.

Steve replied to my request for a replacement velux window on Our Local Expert. I advised I needed the window done urgently. He came the same day and followed up the following morning with a quote which I accepted. 2 days later his team fitted my window. Everything looked great and then I realised the sill was not how I wanted it – Steve came back the following day and altered it to my preferred option. For a house full of windows, also soffits and gutters. I chose them as I had seen their work elsewhere in town, as well as their van. They replaced all windows in my 4 bedroom house, also renewing the doors, fascias and soffits. They weren’t the cheapest, but they were very professional, they were nice lads, and I’d have no hesitation in letting others see their work.
