  I just want to commend Pete Faulkner. The gaslight went out and I had no idea how to light it and I looked in your lovely little book and I found him. He was brilliant – he came straight away even though it was a Saturday. He checked everything out. He was a very happy chappie I recommend him to anybody thank you.

  Hi NickI really want to write to say how amazing Pete Faulkner (domestic appliance repairs) is.our fridge starting to have a strange smell and we couldn’t work out what it was. we nearly bought a brand new one but I remember an online post about Our Local Expert and thought let’s take a look before forking out for a new fridge. we found Pete’s name who came with loads of great reviews so we gave him a call.   Peter fitted our new replacement Microwave oven into the larger built in space where our previous Microwave had been fitted.He did an excellent job, fitting surround matching woodwork to enclose the new (smaller) microwave.Peter arrived on time, was pleasant & polite and did a good job.Thoroughly recommended.

  Having seen the recommendations on this site, I phoned Pete about a strange noise in the washing machine. He came within a few days, found the culprit (a coin) and tested the machine. He was very pleasant, professional, and I would most definitely contact him again for appliance problems. His charge was very reasonable. He and his partner were COVID aware – both wore masks.

  Called Peter who was incapacitated and who gave two options in his absence. He sounded a very nice chap, so I left a message for him when he was able to respond. He did so within a day, and called to investigate the problem with my NEFF washer dryer. My washer dryer is in a very tight position but within a few minutes he had identified the problem as being to do with the ‘brushes’ either side of the motor.   My daughter gave me your leaflet as I needed a decorator and someone to mend my dishwasher and washing machine. After several unsuccessful trips to a large retail outlet and phone calls around the bay I contacted Pete Faulkner appliance repairs and he replaced my dishwasher and repaired my washing machine within a week,so definitely IT PAYS TO SHOP LOCAL!

  Responded within a week at the start of loosening of lockdown. Fixed 15 years of muck in dishwasher in very professional manner, with tips for better use thrown along the way. I thought very good value for home visit and work performed.

  My 10 yr old LG washing machine wouldn’t drain or spin. Pete answered my enquiry immediately .I rang on a Thursday and he was very busy but booked for Monday morning and promised if he had a cancellation he’d get to me asap.Later same day Pete rang and said he could fit my job into his lunch break .   Had a fault with a freezer. Found Pete on this site and read the reviews so gave him a ring. He came next day at the appointed time and sorted out the problem. Very reasonable charges. I recommend this engineer and would definitely use him again.

  I have used Pete’s services on three occasions. He is local, trustworthy, reasonably priced and gets the job done. On one occasion he was decent enough to help me with an issue over the phone rather than coming to my home and charging me a call out fee which was most useful and conscientious of my purse.

  We needed advice on our built-in fridge freezer which had developed problems. Pete soon came to give a diagnosis. Later he came one morning to disconnect and take it out ready to be taken away next day by the firm who delivered a new one. Pete came again that afternoon to install it.He responds quickly to phone calls, texts, and emails and tries to fit in with the customer keeping in touch throughout.He is friendly and works quietly and expertly and his prices are very reasonable. We will take pleasure in recommending him to others.

  I was so impressed – he came straight away, had a look, said: ‘I know the best thing for this’ (using sliding boards to remove the appliance) and he fixed it, simply within 30 minutes. [This was after another engineer had refused to move it.]He was abolutely lovely, he was pleasant, polite, an absolute joy! I’ve already recommended him to several friends.
