  Maurice at Penfield Construction is extremely skilled and reliable. I am very happy with the work he completed on my chimney . I have no hesitation in recommending Penfield Construction as well as being friendly , everything is explained and all work undertaken is completed to a very high standard.

  This is a first class company from beginning to end of the project. Excellent level of communication throughout, checking in with me at every stage and whenever the inevitable unexpected additions occurred with the options available to me. Never any pressure to do the extras. Maurice and his team treated our house as if they were renovating a wing at Buckingham Palace! I can’t thank him and his team enough (especially Richard who kept apologising for his perfectionism!)Highly recommended!

  He sorted out our chimney (in a 3 storey Georgian property). I’m very grateful to him – he was absolutely brilliant: in this heat, on the roof. He came when we were pretty desperate – in this shared housing that we’re in. In the heat of this week, coming after his own long jobs in the day to do this for us because it was a bit of an emergency.The building had been flagged up as ‘very unsafe’ – and we only had the scaffolding set up for a month. We were delighted to find a builder who was available… [read more]in the first place, but to find him was even better – he was just a godsend!He made the chimney safe by bringing the chimney down, capping it off then painting it. It was very high up!He couldn’t have been nicer, or more helpful.

  Everything done to an extremely high standard, the guys were all pleasant and friendly, very professional, didn’t leave any mess and were very thorough. Penfield aren’t the cheapest but it’s worth paying a bit extra to be sure of high-quality work. We’re really happy with the job and have already engaged Penfield to do our driveway later this year.   Maurice and his team are highly skilled professionals. They are a pleasure to work with and do their work to a very high standard. They are multi skilled and talented people. I think they charge fair prices too. They restored a large wooden balcony at our home. They were very careful and clever about how they undertook this challenging project. Preserving what didn’t need replacing and carefully replacing what was needed. The result is perfect, just like when it was originally built. I would happily recommend them and would definitely work with them again.

  Maurice Wills of Penfield Construction Ltd replied promptly to our inquiry and sent one of his team to make an assessment. His quotation was accepted and it was agreed that carpenter, Joe would carry out the work on the following Saturday. Due to illness, this had to be cancelled but Joe came two days later on Bank Holiday Monday and worked non-stop. He was efficient, effective and extremely tidy.   Penfield Construction were appointed as builders and project managers of a large renovation project of an 18th century house. We could not have been more pleased with their quality of build and overall professionalism. To complicate their job for us, they had to work around an elderly gentleman and at all times they were considerate of his needs. All the trades who were engaged on the project were courteous, tidy, conscientious and did what they said they would do, when they said they would.   For a conservatory roof replacement – to improve the thermal performance and overall appearance.Thank you Penfield Construction Ltd for firstly taking the time to respond, listen and advise us on the requirements to transform,upgrade our existing conservatory roof.Our existing polycarbonate roof was in desperate need of replacement and had little or no thermal performance as well as being noisy.We looked at the many choices of roof design and costs but having been introduced to Mauruce and Joe of Penfield Construction Ltd it was very satisfying to have a company that were polite,confident and professional.The work is now completed and although… [read more]there were some difficulties with the supply of materials we are delighted with the end result which was completed on time and within the agreed price.
