  Paul has just finished excavating a large amount of soil at the bottom of our garden, in readiness for the replacement of the boundary wall. He had to work in very cramped conditions, with walls and trees all around the area he was working in, and did the job extremely efficiently, with minimal disruption for such a big job. He is highly competent and hard working, would not hesitate to recommend.

  Paul came to dig a 50 metre trench for the installation of a 50 metre water service pipe, in a meadow/field. He completed the work within the given time schedule and it was absolutely perfect with an immaculate finish. There was no damage to the field and it was left looking like a flower bed! His skill as a ground worker is second to none and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. 5 stars!

  Paul has just spent 2 days with us clearing substantial amounts of bamboo from the garden. I cannot praise him highly enough on every count. He is professional , knowledgeable and friendly. No problem was too great to solve and he’s a very hard worker. Would definitely recommend him.

  We recently moved into a house where the gardens had been neglected for some time, a heavy duty approach was needed. We got Paul in and he cleared our front and rear garden of trees, shrubs, buried concrete, posts and rocks. Paul did in one day that would have taken me months to do manually. Paul handles his digger with sugical precision and is a thoroughly nice bloke as well! So if you need ground clearance, excavations or similar work conducted Paul is your man.

  Paul helped us with some complicated drainage work and the construction of a retaining wall built with reclaimed railway sleepers. We were reassured by the fact that he has worked for the National Trust and RSPB and were not disappointed. He offers sensible solutions and carries out work to a very high standard. We’re extremely pleased with the results and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

  Great job by Paul with a trench dig across my garden. The care he took with taking off and replacing the turf meant that the garden looked like it did before he dug it up. Also completed the task ahead of the target date. Thoroughly recommend him.

  Paul’s many years of experience are reflected in the high quality of his work whilst completing the redesign of our front garden.Especially noteworthy, his planning and the management of his machinery in excavating deep concrete foundations in a comparatively small area whilst respecting the remaining garden and shrubs and ensuring safe passage for pedestrians on the adjoining pavement.I have nothing but praise for Paul’s completion of the work.

  Thank goodness we found Paul Irish in Our Local Expert, because he certainly is!!Paul carried out a site visit pre-commencement of works, so he could survey our back garden and driveway, which required concrete walls, patio and tarmac to be removed. He made some excellent suggestions which helped us improve our design.When Paul arrived he was punctual, and his Kubota and skills were first class.   Paul recently helped me with the installation of a new sewerage treatment plant and drainage field at my home. Because of the skill with his digger, his knowledge of groundworks and vast experience we achieved a hassle free and successful result in 5 days!It was a pleasure to work with Paul and I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone reading this review.

  Paul is very knowledgeable about what he does. He arrived on site pre work commending at the arranged time, we agreed a price and a mutually convenient date to start. On that date Paul turned up cheerful and got on with the job. We discussed with Paul what we wanted done and why, and because of the two way. Discussions ended up with a much better result at the end of the three days.His equipment is new and in perfect condition and we have no problem with recommending him for doing groundworks. We will be using his services again

  Paul has done a number of jobs for us, digging foundations, replacement sewers & drainage works, and hedge removal. He has undertaken them all in a professional manner, identifying and solving any issues and all started and completed on time.   Paul has just completed some work at our property removing a hedge, moving stone, digging up tree stumps, flattening areas etc and I can’t recommend him highly enough. He understands exactly what you want doing and then gets on with it. He is timely, knowledgable and sensitive to the ground he is working on and his daily rate is competitive. An extremely skilful operator, he comes highly recommended by me and I will definitely be using his services again.

  He’s good – we’ve used numerous people in the past, but Paul Irish is one of the most competent machine drivers I know. We’ve been using him at Aylesbeare Common for over 10 years.
