  I had a problem with a dripping toilet cistern, the tank for which was concealed behind a wooden panel. The cistern was obvioulsy very old and knackered. I sent an email and Pete was totally transparent about the cost of a new unit and his call out and hourly rates.He is a very clean & tidy worker and is definitely now my “go to ” man for plumbing & heating

  Pete has completed 2 jobs for us in a reasonable time span considering how busy the company is. They were recommended by a friend on Facebook (Spotted Alphington) and met all expectations. Pete iniially came to look at our electric shower which had developed a leak. He replaced this as a priority cleanly and efficiently.   We wanted to replace our bathroom suite but wanted to retain the tiling that was already there. Pete managed to remove the old suite without damaging a single tile. 5 wall tiles had to be taken down because of the old fittings but we had spare ones. We also needed to use a few spare floor tiles that we had kept. It is impossible to tell that the tiles are not original and it all looks beautiful. Pete is very skilful. always professional, clean, tidy and nothing is too much trouble.

  We had a boiler which was leaking for over a week. I contacted numerous plumbers and left messages to call me back but not one did. Then i found Pete’s contact details in the “Our Local Expert” booklet which we had in the post. Contacted Pete over the weekend and left a message, he called me back the same weekend and we arranged for him to come out to us on the Monday.   As always, Pete did a fantastic job. Just a service this time but last year he installed my new boiler.I would HIGHLY recommend him. He is professional yet friendly. I am a stresshead but he does his best to reassure me. He a clean workman, and extremely reliable.

  Pete did major job in our bathroom. Bath out, new shower and full tray unit put in. Did many other jobs around house , new taps on other units sorting out immersion overflow etc. More than pleased with quality of goods put in and can`t fault his workmanship. Thank you did great job

  Pete fitted a new boiler for us, moved a radiator in a room that has a fitted carpet and replaced 3 other radiators. He was very polite and left the house in such a tidy state you wouldn’t have known that any work had been done. He explained the new boiler to us carefully and also how to use the new thermostat/timer controls. We had complete confidence in him and we are delighted with the job.

  I wanted to say something wonderful about Peter Chown.I think he’s brilliant. I had a new boiler fitted (by a plumber who isn’t in OurLocalExpert) and I’ve had problems with it. When I’ve rung Peter he’s been here the same day, and righted the problem which keeps re-occurring. He’s called in on his way home from work, which he doesn’t have to do, but it means a lot to me when I haven’t got any hot water.When he’s finished the current job he’s on he’s going to really investigate the problem and get to the bottom of what’s wrong… [read more]
