  We are absolutely thrilled with the patio Mark and Dan have laid for us. It was a large area and they worked very hard and tidily, always discussing what they were doing at each stage and making sure we were happy. They also came up with lots of ideas for landscaping and always made sure we were getting what we wanted. They were great at problem solving too and paid great attention to detail.
  They are really friendly and a pleasure to have around. We would highly recommend this great duo!

  We see the last review here was in 2023. Pleased to say that Mark and Dan are still doing great work. We asked them to relay our old patio. Having lifted the slabs they discovered the base also needed replacing. A skip and extra materials were quickly ordered and delivery onto our rather difficult driveway expertly supervised. The new patio is a great improvement with beautiful attention to detail. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Towards the end of the job they had to work around our carpenter and decorators which was no trouble. The whole job was completed… [read more]on time, within budget and the site left very tidy.   I wouldn’t look anywhere else for landscape gardeners. Mark and Dan completely transformed our sloping back garden. We had some ideas which Mark and Dan considered, adding their own views and off they went. There were discussions along the way with Mark and Dan coming up with ideas and patiently listening to ours, and the garden ended up slightly different, and much better, than originally planned. … [read more] Others have commented on their work ethic and they are spot on. Mark and Dan worked themselves hard in all kinds of weather, but always made time for a mug of tea and a chat with us about progress. The work included laying a porcelain tiled patio and paths, building a decorative and retaining wall, porcelain cladding and laying turf. It was completed to the highest standards. We have booked them to come back to sort out our front path at the start of next year. In summary, Mark and Dan are hard working guys with great ideas, genuine attention to detail and they provide excellent value for money. On top of that, they are two really nice people.

  Mark and Dan worked like Trojans! They are a pleasure to have around and easy to talk to. The weather in the first half of 2023 delayed our start, but they kept in touch and informed, reassuring us that they hadn’t forgotten us! They offered expert advice and suggestions that we hadn’t considered. Our new composite decking looks amazing and we cannot recommend them enough. They drink a lot of tea…..

  Mark and Dan worked so hard to transform our patio and we love the end result! They listened to our ideas, made some suggestions and then created something beautiful out of a very neglected area. Their attention to detail is quite something and we were involved every step of the way. We have already booked them again for next year for stage 2 of the transformation. Would have no hesitation at all in recommending them.

  I can’t praise Mark and Dan too highly. They demolished our old fence and erected a new one quickly and efficiently, making as little mess as possible. They were also polite and helpful throughout. Our neighbours (the other side of the fence) were equally impressed. An excellent job all round.

  Mark and Dan replaced our front doorstep and garden patio. They were very helpful with their suggestions for materials to use and we are really pleased with the final result. They worked efficiently , befriended our crazy dog and were friendly and chatty. I would highly recommend them.

  Mark and Dan worked really hard to create a patio with retaining wall and steps in the centre of our steep, sloping garden. It looks great and we’re really happy with the quality of work. Friendly and accommodating, they worked with us on the design/look and made sure that everything was neat and tidy when they finished.. they even filled in a hole in the garage floor for us with some leftover cement. Can’t recommend highly enough.

  Employed Harris fencing to put up a new 14mtr long feather edged fence 2mtr high with a Trellis top, absolutely delighted with the workmanship, communication and cost.Couple of months later employed them again to put in concrete paths around the garden for disabled access, along with a large concrete base for a greenhouse and has 3 very large planters installedSame result, on time on budget and delighted againWould highly recommend Mark and Dan

  Dear NickI wish to say that as new residents to the area, your booklet has been of great assistance.We contacted Mark Harris Landscaping (and his oppo Dan) for a quote on some fencing at our new house in Kingsway Avenue. To say that their service has been fantastic is an understatement.Prompt, polite, very, very hard working, helpful and knowledgable (with with plant suppliers). These guys work hard, do a fabulous job, see the job to the end before they move onto the next, and clean up after they are done.We can not thank you two enough and are so happy with the new drive.   Delighted with the work Mark and Dan have have just done for us. They put up new fencing in our front garden, made major improvements to our driveway, plus replaced fence panels in our back garden. When they first visited us to give a quote they talked through various options for the front fence and driveway, depending on our needs and budget. The result is we now have a greatly improved front garden and driveway which we are so pleased with.   We have used Mark and Dan on numerous occasions so when we decided to extensively rebuild our patio there was only one firm we could use! Daily timekeeping was excellent, the site was always cleaned each day whilst the delivery of materials was always sensible and efficient. Our ideas for the patio were blended with some very clever and thoughtful suggestions from Dan and Mark resulting in a wonderfully creative outcome. In fact, I believe it features in Wiltshire’s catalogue. No more said!

  The Our Local Expert publication led us to Harris Fencing – Mark and friend – who’ve just rebuilt the garden fence. They were absoutely amazing – brilliantly fantastic – I can’t praise them enough. They showed up when they said they would, tidied up after themselves, and had a pleasant demeaner.I love the little publication – we used it to find lots of people when we first moved here. It goes further than you think – people share it with friends and family. I call it ‘the book of wonderful people’

  Mark and Dan were very polite and punctual with the quote and the work to transform our garden. They came up with good ideas to ensure that the garden looked as well in reality as it did in our minds.My wife was not keen on having our garden changed, but is very pleased with the result and we have enjoyed sitting out when the weather has allowed us.   We have a very small and awkward shaped back garden and Mark Harris put forward some proposals which seemed good and we accepted his quote. The work he and Dan carried out for us was excellent, they were polite, on time, friendly and always came up with good ideas. They have transformed our back garden to a usable space again. We were so impressed with their work that we are now talking to them about waving their magic wand over the front garden – bigger but more of a challenge. I would defineley recommend them.

  Mark completely built our back garden from scratch. From what used to be redundant space, Mark did everything from fencing to patio slabs to decking and even made us a bespoke bench with storage. All work was finished to an exceptionally high standard in the time frame he agreed and he brought a number of ideas to help maximise the use of the space and keep within our budget. Big thanks to Mark and Dan for their work, ideas and reliability. We now have a garden. Cheers chaps!

  October 2016: Mark re-turfed our 500sq m lawn and lopped some trees. We were exceptionally pleased with Mark’s work on several levels:His attention to detail, willingness to go “the extra mile”, courtesy, punctuality. His professional competence and advice were of the highest standard. Needless to say, he completed the job to the agreed schedule and every day made sure that everything was left ” spick and span”. We have had no qualms about recommending his services to our friends and we have already booked him to return in the near future to undertake further work. Highly recommended without reservation .

  Mark, Chris and Dan worked on our rear garden in the summer of 2016 initially erecting a supporting wall, required due to subsidence caused by a neighbour’s extension. Mark worked out the cost and happily liaised with all parties involved to amicably agree how the costing would be apportioned.   Mark has landscaped what was a shambles of a garden into a pleasant comfortable outside area, we now have a fantastic patio area with a feature wall using the rocks that were already in the garden a large vegetable plot which he has now extended for us and a newly laid lawn area. Mark also built us a retaining wall the full length of the garden, it is now a pleasure both to relax and entertain outside.Marks prices are very reasonable and he has real talent in design, he is efficient and keeps to time weather allowing.   Mark and Matthew turned up when promised to trim a tricky hedge and some overgrown shrubs. They worked quickly and considerately and tidied up afterwards. Very decent straightforward people to deal with, take pride in their work and charge very fairly. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

  Mark has undertaken a large project in my rear garden, completed at my request in three different stages over an 18 month period. He has been thoroughly professional throughout and from my original plan he has provided good advice which vastly improved my original ideas. He has kept to budget, despite design improvements being introduced along the way. I have found Mark to be reliable and trustworthy and would use him again without hesitation.

  The representatives of this company were unfailingly professional from the point at which I initially contacted them through to completion of the work. Mark and Matthew are extremely knowledgeable, flexible, conscientious – and really nice guys as well. They did exactly what we agreed, they did it perfectly, completed it on time and even came in slightly under budget.   I called Mark a few weeks ago about removing a tree from an awkward place in my garden, a job which I had thought to be very difficult. He gave excellent advice and quoted a reasonable price for the work. On the day, it was in fact his capable young assistant who carried out the job on his own, but did so very quickly and efficiently. We were very satisfied and will definitely use Mark again in the future.
