Andy has done an absolutely excellent job of putting in multiple doors and a staircase. His work is of outstanding quality, he is clean & tidy, nothing is too much trouble for him & he is kind & courteous- a real pleasure to have working. I thoroughly recommend the Exmouth Carpenter. The standard of workmanship and attention to detail is very good. Andy has an excellent knowledge of what needs to be done on a job and can recommend and manage associated trades when required.

I’ve used Andy’s carpentry services twice now and have been thoroughly impressed on both occasions. The first time, he completed a range of custom jobs around the kitchen and bathroom – including encasing a large boiler flue, fitting shelves, a cornice and installing a loft ladder. Most recently, he fitted three oak doors, which I’m really pleased with. Andy has excellent attention to detail, is very knowledgeable, genuine and easy to get along with. Highly recommended!

Andy Jones has just fitted pan drawers and carousels in my kitchen cupboards and I am delighted with the finished product.Andy is a very nice young man. He made absolutely sure that the spaces in a very small kitchen were maximised and that I got what I wanted and needed. Everywhere was left perfectly clean and tidy.I am already a big fan of pan drawers but have had no previous experience of these carousels. What an amazing use of previously useless, unreachable cupboard spaces. And everything now glides like silk!It may be of interest that a friend of mine who used to be in the high-end kitchen business and is a perfectionist considered it was an excellent job using good quality equipment.I shall certainly use Andy again and would recommend him highly.Pat Hopkin (May 2nd2025)

Andy Jones has carried out a number of carpentry repairs on our quite old house and he has always shown the most care and attention to detail in his work. He is friendly, hard working and really keen to help get bottom of a problem. His most recent work required repairing a very rotten dormer window and he has brought it back from the brink so very well.Andy also really helped us in recommending other tradesmen in the area for problems we had with our chimney.A skilled carpenter and a pleasure to have in our house. Would recommend in a heart beat.

Andy does all the carpentry work himself and makes an excellent job of it. He really knows what he is doing. He also keeps to the date he has given to start works (maybe a long wait though as very busy)Andy keeps us informed along the way as to what he is doing and why.His charges are reasonable considering the finished standard.I would really recommend him.

Andy has been a 5* tradesman – comes when he says he will, quick transparent estimates, does the job when he says he will, on time, let’s you know what’s outstanding if he has to leave the job, works around your timetable, and excellent quality of work. Has repaired decorative fencing requiring specific cutting and shaping, and painted. Neighbours used to and are very happy. Friends also now already hope to use him on their house. No better recommendation.

It is an absolute pleasure to write a review for this trades man!We had a major crisis with a burst water pipe under 3 layers of a wood floor and needed someone urgently as we could not access the pipe for home serve to come out and fix this. I called Exmouth joinery, Andy told me he was fully booked out for months and when I explain my situation he came out to us the following morning 8am (an absolute godsend), he cut out the access and called another excellent tradesman it was fixed with a couple of hours. Thank you so much for a great service and with a very good price for the work! I could not recommend him enough, an absolute brilliant joiner and a lovely kind genuine chap! I will always use him when I need a joiner. 10 out of 10

Andy has done a lot of work for us on renovating our sash windows in our Grade II listed home which were painted shut and had not been useable for years. He has got them back into working condition, spending time sourcing new weights. His work is to the highest standard. We would definitely recommend him.

Our house was built in 1914 and the windows are the original ones. One needed some attention . Andy Jones has been working on this window , he has had to replace much of the wood , he has worked efficiently, always punctual and has communicated well .
