  I employed Darren to paint the whole of the outside of the Teign Heritage museum in Teignmouth. Darren kept to his timescale and completed all work to a very high standard, including remedial repair works that he was additionally requested to do prior to painting. He was a very tidy worker and nothing was too much trouble to him. I would definitely use him again and I would unreservedly recommend him.

  Darren and Zack undertook the external repainting and associated repairs of our block of 9 listed seafront flats in Teignmouth. Initially we were concerned whether the job might be too large but we needn’t have worried, it was completed to a very high standard to time and budget. They were professional and courteous and very easy to have on site. We would highly recommend them.

  Darren was faultless. From the outset, he returned calls and honoured appointments in a way that other trades people often don’t. His quote for redecorating the entire outside of our house was entirely reasonable. The quality of the work done was excellent. It was also a pleasure to have Darren and his apprentice Ben around. Two days after the job was completed, a tile fell from the roof where scaffolding had been erected. Darren immediately arranged for the scaffolders (also very good) to return to replace it. A job very well done.

Very focused, quick, accurate and to a professional standard in everything he did.   Darren was highly recommended by three of my immediate neighbours who had each had the outside of their houses painted by him.Included in his quote was “repair or replace any rotten wood”; my 500 year old house certainly had plenty of this plus dodgy rendering and much more.   I just can’t believe how good he was. So efficient and at an extremely reasonable price. He’s painted the whole of the front of the house, the garden walls, the railings. He did the whole of the front of the building first because he knew the weather was going to change (and it did) – he came yesterday and did the walls in the garden. He works so hard, he is absolutely phenomenal. I had searched around a few people to do the job and was quoted some ridiculous prices. His price was less than half that… [read more]others had quoted. I had got a quote for scaffolding but Darren asked if he could use his own because he works well with them – matching the price I had been quoted.   Just had the exterior of the house painted as the last bit of renovation to finish off. I just want to say thank you, to decorator Darren Nethercott- oh that more workmen were like him! Not only has he made a grand job of painting the house, he has finished off a few bits and pieces indoors that I have been trying to get someone to do for ages- like a tv cable coming through a hole in the wall behind the grand piano, but left just like that, a hole in the wall. Came in to the sitting room… [read more]today, to find said hole neatly finished with proper plastic cover and painted round to finish, a patch of damp by the entrance door in the front porch, thankfully the only damp in the house!- , but which I had been trying to get sorted for months, he has found the cause and cured it. And then asked for a dustpan and brush to clean up any mess. And as well as painting the house, he cleaned all double glazed window casements, and the glass too- and there are loads of windows in this house!!So if anyone in S Devon wants a super decorator, Darren I would recommend to anyone!!   From previous experience of some tradesmen, when I look at the quality of the work and what I have been charged, I have been disappointed. This was not the case with Darren. His estimate was reasonable and from the start I had confidence in what he would do. I had his services as a decorator. After a short while other problems arose. Namely half of the plaster came off one wall down to the brick and an unexpected leak was discovered behind the fitted kitchen unit. The issue with the wall was resolved efficiently. He also sourced an excellent plumber… [read more]and dismantled/reassembled the kitchen units. Unfortunately due to their age the cabinets had to be reconfigured. He did this efficiently and the whole job was finished on time. I will certainly be using his services again.

  Darren has done an excellent job of painting the outside of our 350 year old cottage and garage. He easily gets round obstacles and issues that arise on an old property. He is meticulous and does a neat and tidy job with very good attention to detail. He is punctual and hard working.Top class!

  I hired Darren due to the recommendations already posted on this website. Darren and Jordan have re-decorated my bedroom to a professional finish and the wallpaper looks great.   We have just had Darren and Jordan to decorate the outside of our house. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results. It wasn’t just the very high standard to which the house was decorated it was also where they went the extra mile.
