  Ian is a real craftsman. He has laid wooden floors, created a new decorative window, made oak doors and windows for us. All this was completed in accordance with the regulations for our Grade II Listed Building.His prices are good and I can unhesitatingly recommend him.

  Ian successfully undertook a difficult repair / some replacement of entire timbers of a badly rotted large windowsill to a first floor bay window. The access was very difficult for him and he carried out the entire project from a ladder. Must have been very tiring and difficult project. All the work was undertaken without complaint and with a cheerful manner. Ian is clearly a highly skilled and well experienced carpenter / joiner. I highly recommend him for any timber project and will ask him to undertake more work for me as needed. Thank you Ian!

  Ian completed two jobs for us – getting rid of the annoying creaks and squeaks under our flooring and laying a new laminate flooring as well as fitting skirting boards. We are really pleased with the work he has completed and will definitely ask him back for any further work in the future. Ian worked within the timescales he proposed with little disturbance to our home life. We have used 4 carpenters since moving to the area and Ian has been the best by far. Thanks again Ian.

  Ian has done two projects for me. The first was installing bamboo worktops in my kitchen and utility room; the bamboo was my choice, and a new material for Ian, but he embraced the challenge. He also revamped the storage cupboards in the utility and used the kitchen sink cut-out to create a hot drinks bar. The second (just completed) was replacing very tired patio doors leading into my conservatory with Oak Bi-fold doors. Ian researched and sourced all the materials (including double glazed units which he fitted into the doors off site). I always had the final say with… [read more]everything. Ian always works carefully and is very thorough. The bi-folds work well, look good and really make a difference to the way the conservatory works with the rest of the house. I had some particular things that I needed the doors to do and Ian spent a lot of time working out how to make the “mechanics” work. I am very happy to recommend him.

  We were glad to have found Ian, after being let down by a builder who did a bodged job of our floor. Ian didn’t have an easy job having to rectify somebody else’s mess. Rather than pulling the whole flooring up, we decided for an alternative replacement of some parts and Ian listened to our suggestions and contributed with his own. We were very satisfied with the end result. Ian was always on time, tidy and honest. The charges were reasonable. We will definitely have Ian back for more work and can highly recommend him.

  Having been let down by two carpenters, Ian came to our rescue and completed our door hanging job with professionalism and attention to detail. Ian provided thorough communication about the job from start to finish and was always polite and friendly, tidying up at the end of each day. Our job was quite complex in parts and Ian worked late into the day to complete it on time. We would definitely recommend Ian and will have his number stored securely now for any future work!

  We asked Ian to replace a broken area of decking outside the patio doors.We are really pleased with our finished deck, and he made such a tidy job of it, with great attention to detail. Ian also salvaged the sound timber for us, removing the old screws so we could re-use it; very thoughtful and helpful.All in all we really appreciate his work and would thoroughly recommend him to others.

  Ian was very responsive to our initial enquiries. We wanted a bespoke wardrobe and Ian achieved exactly what we wanted. He was very thoughtful about the design of the wardrobe and ensured that it met all of our requirements. Ian fitted the wardrobe without any fuss-he just got on with the job and cleaned up before he left. We would recommend him for any carpentry/joinery work and in particular if you have any bespoke work.

  Ian crafted us a built-in cupboard with shelving and glass doors to match perfectly with a preexisting built-in cupboard. We were impressed with his attention to detail and are very pleased with the result. Ian has done lots of work for us from hand built furniture to hanging doors. We wouldn’t have anyone else
