  ARP Architects really respected the emotional attachment that we have to our 1930s house and ensured that the kitchen, back porch and bedroom extension felt as if it had always been there. The whole of the new section is completely in keeping with our home’s traditional look. However, somehow, ARP still managed to create new spaces filled with light, stunning window features and increased ceiling heights which we absolutely love and they continually elicit wow responses from visitors to our home. We are extremely happy with the completed design and would not hesitate to recommend this thoughtful and creative architect.

  Andrew drew up plans to convert our 1960’s bungalow into a two story 3 bedroom house. Our instructions to him was to design a house which gave us plenty of natural light and to open up the magnificent views across the Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve and our village. He achieved this and so much more to give us the home of our dreams.

  Our builder said that he had never worked with such accurate plans during his time in business.

  I highly recommend ARP Architects to anyone wanting a really beautiful home (5 ****** for excellence).

  Andrew was a real fount of knowledge and calming influence for our kitchen extension project. With a slightly complex site on various levels and living in a conservation area, Andrew seamlessly guided us through the various planning requirements, provided us with excellent drawings and advice and supported us through a detailed tender procedure. A pleasure to work with and we are thrilled with the final product. We would highly recommend Andrew for any building projects and thank him again for his patience and skill throughout the project.

  Andrew came in to help me plan a extension on my lovely but dark home. He found a way of getting as much light as possible with keeping enough garden and enough space to make a difference. He helped me navigate all sorts of areas and when the building inspector came he was concerned about water pipes and the builders nearly put down tools but Andrew had foreseen any problems and got all the right approvals in place.I felt looked after and he listened to what I needed and produced exactly that.   My daughter used ARP architects and the design that was produced was an innovative use of the space that was available. When we saw her design it was something we would never have thought of but it was just perfect for her house. We have had building work carried out before but not to such an exact specification. We were well informed at every stage of the works. Also the design that Andrew came up with was so inspiring and it has improved our living space 100%. In my opinion you employ an architect to think of something for your house which is outside of the box , exciting and an ingenious use of space; this is what ARP realised for us.   Being disabled it got to the stage I needed to have a downstairs bedroom and wet room.I thought this was an easy garage conversion until Andrew opened my eyes to all the other better options available to me. I’m so excited as my project starts next week. No more sleeping in the dining room.   We engaged ARP to design our loft conversion and alterations to another room with ensuite. He oversaw the whole project for us with limitless patience and professionalism. Andrew’s calm manner really helped when there were snags with the build. He provided several layout options with excellent suggestions such as the cabrio balcony windows which are fantastic.
