  Responsive to a new customer in some state of anxiety about a filled C drive.
  Al was reassuring and clearly very informed and capable. He quickly found time to provide some remote help. He worked remotely on my Dell desktop. He produced a very satsfactory outcome in avery short space of time – to a C drive problem. Very sensible solution for the short / medium term. He talked through a possible longer term solution – machine rather elderly but the suggested longer fix is well targeted and appropriate for the remaining life of the computer. Very satisfied customer.

  Had a few issues with my Desk Top after Harry helped me upgrade to Windows 11. This seemed to upset my PC and resulted in a number of niggling issues such as the printer not working and an inability to open any link in an e-mail. l find it very frustrating Windows change things especially when it means learning a new procedure!.   In May 2022 I could not connect my printer to my lap top so contacted Al and his team. The next day Harry managed to connect the printer by accessing my computer remotely. He was very helpful, friendly, polite and professional and I was charged a very reasonable rate. In December 2021 Al replaced my hard drive on the lap top and did a superb job. This company is excellent, they know what they are doing and are totally trustworthy so I highly recommend them.

  I had been let down by another IT support service so was delighted to receive such prompt and professional service from Al and Conor. My previously slow performing laptop was speedily improved. Conor explained what he was doing in plain English which even a technophobe like me could understand.   When my PC wouldn’t turn on, Al picked it up and quickly diagnosed the problem. It would have been a fairly easy fix but at 12 years old it was not worth it. He had several re-conditioned PCs so he talked me through the options, I chose one and he transferred my data, installed basic software. All done quickly and all I paid was the price of the replacement PC and the upgrades I chose.

  There had been an attempt to get into my bank account through my computer, and Al gave it a thorough check remotely, improved the security on it and then installed Windows 10 for me, which I had been putting off doing! It was all done without any input by me, so I was free to do other things. The charge was very reasonable and I now feel reassured that I have someone trustworthy to turn to if I have other problems in future. I recommend him highly.

  Al attended to the problem on the hard drive on my desk top promptly. He took over my pc remotely to see the problem. He then came to the house collected the machine and took it to his workshop where he analysed the problem and called me as to how much it would cost, His charges were very reasonable and following repairs returned it to me the following day. He is absolutely professional and I have no hesitation in recommending him and will certainly use his services again should the situation arise.

  My desktop PC recently broke down on me and not knowing anyone locally to help I looked in our local business telephone directory and selected Al Findlay. I had no problems contacting him and he arranged a visit for 2 days later. He arrived on time and after opening up the PC Casing, he identified a problem with my hard drives and the amount of accumulated dust that over the years had blocked up the casing vents.   Just had Al round to install new computer and upgrade to Windows 7. All went very smoothly and within a couple of hours we were up and running.   After an unsatisfactory and expensive visit by a nearby computer support firm I was desperate to find help. I found Al Findlay through Our Local Expert and after his call on me today everything is fixed. I can only endorse the recommendations in other reviews.   For IT support in East Devon, there’s nothing Al Findlay can’t do! I should know, I used to work with Al on an IT helpdesk, and I’d always go to him for advice. Everyone did! I can’t keep up with the continually changing landscape of IT, but Al does, and I now use him for all my support needs at home and in the office.He is not only trustworthy, but excellent for giving you all the options, and for sourcing components at good prices.
